Former Real Madrid playmaker, Isco, finds himself in a precarious situation, as he’s currently without a club.

Despite being just 30 and having a reputable career, Isco who spent 9 years as a Real Madrid player, is currently unemployed.

The Spaniard was once the toast of Premier League clubs, and had won a staggering five Champions League crowns, as well as three La Liga titles until he departed Madrid in 2022.

Isco joined Sevilla in August 2022, but just four months after, and only 14 La Liga games, his contract was terminated.

On deadline day, Isco was on the brink of a free transfer to Bundesliga high-flyers Union Berlin. But the deal collapsed, and the club sent out a cryptic message: “We have our limits.”

According to Fabrizio Romano, the “deal collapsed because financial conditions of the deal changed after the medical tests.”

Isco has now been linked with a move to Turkey, with Konyaspor keen on his signature.

The transfer window in Turkey is open until February 8.

Diario AS quoted Konyaspor President As Akcan, who confirmed that they were in talks with the 30-year-old.

He said: “It is correct, we are in a negotiation process with Isco. I can say  the dialogues are going well.

“We are not yet sure if we have reached an agreement, otherwise we would say so openly. We are doing everything possible to close the signing.

“We have time until the 8th of this month, but I think everything will be resolved with Isco, one way or another, as soon as possible. Now we have an opportunity to close this signing. We are positive.”
