Ancelotti admits three injured players could play in World Cup final

The trio of Karim Benzema, Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao, would be absent from the Club World Cup clash against Al Ahly on Wednesday.

However, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, has said that the trio could still participate in the competition, if Real Madrid reach the final.

Ahead of the Al Ahly game, Carlo Ancelotti was asked whether the three absentes could play in the Saturday final if Real Madrid qualify for it.

He responded: “That’s why they are on the list. We’ve left them back in Madrid so that they have the best possible recovery.

“If we have to play the final on Saturday, they could travel here on Thursday.”

The trio were registered for the competition, in case they may be needed in the final.
