Real Madrid defeated Al Ahly 4-1 in the Club World Cup semi-final clash on Wednesday.
With the scores at 2-1, stoppage time goals from Rodrygo and Sergio Arribas sealed a comprehensive victory for the Los Blancos.
For Arribas, the 21-year-old replaced Vinicius Junior in the 97th minute, and scored within seconds after coming on.
The young player has admitted that it was a dream come true for him.
“Since I was a kid, I have been dreaming about this moment. First goal in this shirt and through to the final. Thank to all my teammates and all the people who are always with me,” Sergio Arribas wrote on Instagram after the game.
His teammates supported him on social media – including top stars like Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior and Thibaut Courtois.
Benzema went the extra length of putting his post on his Instagram story.
