Federico Valverde scored a brace as Real Madrid defeated Al Hilal 5-3 in the Club World Cup final.
Federico Valverde sucked his finger when celebrating his first goal in the Club World Cup final win against Al-Hilal.
Why the celebration?
Last month, it was reported Fede’s partner Mina Bonito could have lost her pregnancy due to medical complications.
Interestingly, she had confirmed on Twitter during the game that the baby is healthy.
Valverde celebrated that way to announce that his wife is expecting their second child.
“Recently there was news that I had lost a pregnancy,” Mina tweeted.
“I wasn’t able to deny it, because it was what we thought would happen. It was incompatible with life. We prepared for a month for the worst. As the pregnancy was very advanced we had to confirm it with the test.
“And after having cried for a whole month, having mourned, while I had my second child in my belly, yesterday we received the least thought-out news: The baby is fine. Everything is normal.
“We haven’t processed it yet, it was a very difficult month and this is starting over. THANK YOU.”
Indeed, this is good news for Valverde and his wife. Congratulations.
