Real Madrid are champions of the world, after they defeated Al Hilal 5-3 to win the Club World Cup.
It was indeed an interesting tie, and the Saudi club gave it their best shot.
Federico Valverde bagged a brace to help Madrid win the game. The goals were his tenth and eleventh goals of the season.
After scoring the goal, the Uruguayan ran to Ancelotti to give him a big hug.
For Carlo Ancelotti, it was job well done, as he had vowed to tear up his coaching license if Valverde doesn’t score up to ten goals.
Valverde barely scored goals despite what he brings to the midfield, and it was one thing Ancelotti wanted him to add to his game. Now, it’s mission accomplished.
“Thanks for Fede for scoring 10 goals,” Carlo Ancelotti said after the game.
“Now I don’t have to rip up my coaching license.”
