Thibaut Courtois, Antonio Rudiger, Luka Modric, Federico Valverde and Karim Benzema are all on the list.

One of Real Madrid’s best players last campaign, Vinicius Junior, surprisingly didn’t make the cut.

Reacting to the decision, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that it must be a mistake.

Talking to the press ahead of the Elche clash, Carlo Ancelotti was asked to comment on this.

He responded: “Vinicius not in the nominees for the best players in the world? I didn’t knot it. It must be a mistake, right?”
