Real Madrid youngster Alvaro Rodriguez has been the talk of town since his debut against Osasuna.

The 18-year-old who came on in the 88th minute made an instant impact as he assisted both Vinicius Junior and Marco Asensio to score their goals. Unfortunately, the goal scored by Vinicius was ruled out for offside by VAR.

Real Madrid Castilla manager Raul Gonzalez has confirmed that Alvaro Rodriguez will join the senior squad for their Champions League game against Liverpool on Tuesday.

“Alvaro Rodriguez will have the opportunity to travel with the first team to Liverpool,” Raul told reporters.

Alvaro impressed Carlo Ancelotti with his performance against Osasuna.

“Alvaro Rodriguez is a player with a lot of qualities. He is tall, controls the ball well, he’s great in the air… He can help us a lot, as he did today,” Carlo Ancelotti said after the game against Osasuna.

“It’s not easy to get into Real Madrid’s team being this young. He made the difference in 10 minutes today.

“Promote him to the first team? We have to talk to Raul (Real Madrid Castilla’s coach). He will help us a lot in the future.”
