Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti has admitted he owes Jurgen Klopp a present.
The pair are set to face each other on Tuesday night, as Liverpool welcome Madrid to Anfield for their UEFA Champions League round-of-16 clash.
However, they have been close since the Italian’s time at Everton.
Speaking ahead of Tuesday’s match, Ancelotti recalled: “We have a really good relationship with each other. We spent a year and a half together in Liverpool during a pandemic.
“We wrote together and exchanged gifts. He is a very amiable man.”
Indeed, there were many gifts, with Ancelotti clearly remembering what Klopp gave him ahead of Real Madrid’s meeting with Liverpool in the Champions League final last year.
“An electronic cigarette,” says the Italian, who had not brought a present for the German.
“He will get one when we meet in Madrid.”
