Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has refused to give the true details of his star striker Darwin Nunez.

The Uruguayan was taken off with an injury during Liverpool’s 2-0 win against Newcastle United on Saturday. He was amongst the goals as well, after going more than three months without one.

There have been concerns over the extent of Nunez’s injury, and whether the 23-year-old would be ready for Liverpool’s round-of-16 Champions League meeting with Madrid on Tuesday.

However, Klopp has chosen to play mind games about the situation.

The German said in his pre-match press conference: “There is a chance (he plays). We have to see how he is today. When we know that we will make a decision.”

If Nunez can’t make it for the game, Klopp may opt to play Diogo Jota in his position.
