Former Real Madrid left-back Marcelo, will go down as one of the best fullbacks the game has ever seen.

Marcelo enjoyed a trophy-laden period at Real Madrid, as he had 15 successful years at the club, winning 25 major titles.

The 34-year-old had his contract with Olympiacos terminated, and has vowed to return to his former club and work in a coaching capacity.

In an interview with ESPN, Marcelo said, per Sport: “Real Madrid is my home. I arrived at the age of 18 and I have learned all the values of the club with players like Raúl, Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos.

“If I tell the truth, I feel like I’ve not left Real Madrid. I see myself coming back. I would very much like to try to help children who need it just like when I arrived at 18 years old.”
