Real Madrid wonderkid Endrick Felipe is regarded as one of his Brazil’s most promising prospects.
The 16-year-old has already agreed to a €60 million transfer to Real in the summer of 2024, when he will be 18 years old.
However, 2023 hasn’t been a good year so far for the teenager, who was moved to tears after being substituted 60 minutes into his team’s 2-0 win against RB Bragantino in Serie A this week.
Endrick has now gone 10 games without scoring, and cried uncontrollably on the bench.
“Yes, it’s true, he covered his face because he cried,” Abel Ferreira, Palmeiras’ coach commented. “I’m not his father, but I should have given him a hug.
“He has to be calm. Nobody likes criticism. There is tremendous pressure on him to score five or six goals and he is trying to deal with it himself.
“The goal will come at the right time. You just have to be calm and keep smiling.”
