It wasn’t an easy evening for Karim Benzema in the Madrid derby.

Real Madrid came from behind to draw the tie 1-1, despite getting an extra man advantage following the red card to Correa.

Benzema didn’t seem to have a good game, and Carlo Ancelotti blamed it on mental fatigue.

“It was a difficult game for him [Benzema]. He was mentally tired and a bit slow,” Carlo Ancelotti said after the 1-1 against Atletico Madrid.

Karim Benzema’s current form in the La Liga this year has been below standard, as he has only bagged 4 goals so far this year.
