For all of Real Madrid’s possession against Barcelona, the Los Blancos still lost the El Clasico tie 1-0 on Thursday.

The likes of Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr struggled to get a sight of goal, as Real Madrid had no shot on target all game.

A reporter had claimed Real Madrid have a problem in attack, and Carlo Ancelotti was asked whether he’s worried about the team’s problems up front.

The Italian responded: “We do not have a problem in attack. We suffered in the last two games, but a few days before that, we scored five at Anfield.”

However, Ancelotti admitted that Madrid struggle to create chances against teams that defend with deep blocks.

He said: “We suffered against deep blocks a bit because of the different characteristics of our strikers.

“I do not want a tall out-and-out striker in the box, I want Karim Benzema because his qualities help us in attack. That’s why we are the team with the most goals in La Liga.

“I don’t want a tall striker because, if you have such a player, you have to send crosses to him. And that would close down the spaces for Vinicius Junior and Benzema.”
