Real Madrid youngster Alvaro Rodriguez has been a revelation since making his debut against Osasuna, with his late impact in that game.
Rodriguez was also on target in the derby game against Atletico.
There have now been calls for him to get a starting role, and Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Karim Benzema and Alvaro Rodriguez are compatible and the two strikers could start together in a 4-4-2 formation.
“Alvaro has the quality to be more than an impact sub. If a player is good, it doesn’t matter that he is young,” the Real Madrid coach said.
“Benzema and Alvaro could play together from the start and we could alter the formation. They would be a good pair in a 4-4-2 because Karim is used to playing between the lines. We don’t rule it out.”
