Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Karim Benzema will miss the La Liga clash against Espanyol on Saturday.
The Madrid boss however revealed that Benzema will be back for the second leg Champions League tie against Liverpool on Wednesday, March 15.
Ancelotti has also revealed that Rodrygo will start in place of the injured Spaniard.
“Benzema? Ankle discomfort. He will be back for Liverpool,” Carlo Ancelotti has said.
“Benzema could not train this week due to a blow to his ankle. He has started to exercise individually today.
“Rodrygo will replace him against Espanyol.”
Benzema has picked up 7 injuries this season, with the ankle injury now his latest.
