Real Madrid returned to winning ways in the La Liga, after coming from behind to beat Espanyol 3-1.
Real Madrid had conceded an 8th minute Joselu goal, but the Los Blancos still turned around the scores, with goals from Vinicius Jr, Eder Militao and Marco Asensio sealing the victory for Madrid.
Speaking after the game, Vinicius Jr admitted he was pleased with how his team maintained their calmness to come back and win the tie.
Vinicius said: “We were calm enough to come back from a goal down.
“Whenever we get into a situation like this, we come out of it very comfortably. I’d like to win games more easily, but that’s the way it is and we have to keep working to achieve great things this season.
“Thanks to the fans for coming out in such numbers. We hope there will be even more on Wednesday.
“I’m very happy with the fans, the coach and for playing for the greatest team in the world, I’m very fortunate. I have to keep on working and improving to help all these people who love me so much.”
