Eden Hazard has made just seven appearances for Real Madrid this season, and the former Premier League Player of the Year, is now a reserved player at the club.
Despite his hefty price tag, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, doesn’t utilise the Belgian, and leaves him on the bench.
At the end of the season, Hazard will have a year left on his contract, and the Belgian has said he wants to be at the club next season.
“For me, I will still be at Real Madrid next season — but you never know,” Eden Hazard has told RTBF.
“I want to play, to be on the pitch, to feel important. When you feel important, you have the confidence, you have the fans on your side, it’s easier then.
“When you know you’re the best, you’ll obviously make some mistakes, but people will understand you. When it’s getting tough, people are reluctant that you can play well. How to get out? Play, find pleasure, have game time, make mistakes but then succeed and regain confidence.
“I miss it, I want to play. I want to have fun on the pitch. Training is good, but what keeps us [players] alive are the matches. Deep inside me, I hope that I can bring something to the team and that the coach is still counting on me, I hope. We’ll see if I’m going to play at the end of the season.
“It’s been three months since the coach played me the last time. I doubt a little. It’s up to me to show him in training that he can call on me.
“My explanation for what’s happening is that he has players who play well, that the team wins and that it is difficult to change it. I probably deserve less in his eyes than others. You should ask him [Ancelotti].”
