Real Madrid have finally reached an agreement with top striker Karim Benzema.

Reports have confirmed that Madrid have reached an agreement to keep Benzema for another year, although it’s only a verbal agreement that has been agreed with the Ballon d’Or holder.

Benzema will now stay at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2024.

His current deal expires at the end of the season.

Doubts over his future has lingered for some time now, with Benzema’s constant fitness issues, a cause for concern.

The deal is yet to be finalised, and it will be made official in the coming weeks.

At 35, Benzema still remains a key player for Madrid, and has recorded 18 goals and 5 assists in 27 appearances for the club this season.
