Real Madrid were beaten 2-1 by Barcelona in Sunday night’s El Clasico clash.

Real Madrid seemed unhappy with the officiating, and Real Madrid’s official television channel attacked De Burgos Bengoetxea and Cesar Soto Grado, the officials responsible for on field and VAR adjudication, as well as Clos Gomez, who oversees video refereeing in LaLiga Santander.

“Clos Gonez’s VAR sentenced Real Madrid in El Clasico,” the Real report began. “It’s definitely a wicked element,” it continued as it denounced a string of refereeing calls that were granted in favor of Barcelona this season in LaLiga Santander matchups against the likes of Valencia and Athletic Club.

“The Spanish way of refereeing either gives you titles or it takes titles away from you,” the report stated.

The Madrid camp weren’t happy that Marco Asensio’s 81st minute goal was ruled out for offside by VAR.
