Gavi and Dani Ceballos have been a topic for discussion, following their clashes in recent El Clasico games.
Ceballos pulled Gavi’s hair in January, and Gavi got his revenge on Sunday as the Barca starlet brutally wiped him out off the ball.
Dani Ceballos sister, has gone on to hail the Real Madrid midfielder as a better player than Gavi.
Talking to Dani’s sister, Movistar+ asked whether there was a potential rivalry brewing between the two.
“There is no rivalry because I think my brother is a much better player,” she said. (h/t Marca)
The pair have both been called-up for Spain’s EURO qualifiers, and Dani Ceballos has played down any talks of animosity.
He said: “We have discussed it. Everything that happens on the pitch stays there.
“We are from two towns that are next to each other. He lives 10 km from where I live. You know how we are in the south. We are very hot-tempered.
“We have to go in the same direction. If the good atmosphere and good vibes don’t work, I’m not going to run for him and he’s not going to run for me.
“This must be put aside. We share position. Now we are partners.”
