Carlo Ancelotti has had two successful spells as Real Madrid manager, and there have been talks about him going on to manage the Brazilian national team.

Real Madrid forward Rodrygo has revealed that there have been talks about the idea of Carlo Ancelotti coaching the national team in the Selecao dressing room.

Talking to the press ahead of Brazil’s friendly with Morocco, Rodrygo said: “We talk more in a joking tone, but every joke has a little bit of truth. The situation there is difficult, you have to leave Real Madrid to come here.

“So I can’t say beforehand how it’s going to be, but of course it would be an honour to have him here.

“He knows how to deal with the group, this is very important. Sometimes the coach doesn’t even need to be the best coach tactically, give the best speeches, the team already runs for him. He’s very good in the locker room and that makes a difference.”
