Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti will go down as one of the greatest managers the game has had.

One would think that Ancelotti will be seen as the greatest Italian manager, which was stated by former Real Madrid manager Fabio Capello.

However, Italian legend Andriy Pirlo, has claimed that Ancelotti may not really the Italy’s greatest ever manager, due to the likes of Antonio Conte, Max Allegri and Marcello Lippi.

Fatih Karagümrük SK coach Pirlo said: “Who do I look for inspiration from? I have worked with the best, learning from all of them.

“However, I think with my own head, making a synthesis of all the experiences. The number one? Ancelotti, due to his human and technical qualities, has won more than anyone else and in all the championships, but how can you put him ahead of Lippi, Conte or Allegri?

“They are different. Good game or not: who wins rules.”
