Barcelona midfielder Frenkie De Jong picked up a knock just before the international break, and the Dutchman has now been ruled out of El Clasico.

According to a report by Diario AS, the Dutch international has suffered a relapse of his injury and will be sidelined for two more weeks.

Xavi had planned to include De Jong in his squad for the game even if he was 90 per cent fit, but De Jong will not make the squad.

Ousmane Dembele and Pedri remain sidelined with hamstring injuries, and would also miss the tie, while Andreas Christensen is also out injured.

Real Madrid lost the first leg 1-0 at the Santiago Bernabéu.
