Eden Hazard has for some time been frozen out of the Real Madrid team.

The Belgian hadn’t featured in the La Liga for six months, but on Sunday, Eden Hazard made his first La Liga appearance in 6 months as Real Madrid smashed Valladolid 6-0.

Hazard is always named in the matchday squad for every game, but would be on the bench nevertheless, even if he’s told by the manager to warm up.

With the game against Real Valladolid already done and dusted, Carlo Ancelotti decided to bring on Hazard after 65 minutes, as he came on for Karim Benzema, who was obviously rested ahead of the El Clasico.

Eden Hazard was surprised when the manager told him to get dressed and ready to play. Hazard pointed to himself in disbelief, flashing a wide smile on his face.

Hazard seemed glad to come on, and veteran midfielder Luka Modric who was also rested for the game, was as well pleased for him.

In what was his first La Liga appearance since September last year, Hazard did well in his 28 minutes cameo on the pitch, as he created four chances and registered an assist for Lucas Vazquez.
