Real Madrid are away to Barcelona tonight, as the two sides meet in the semi-final of the Copa del Rey tie.

It’s the fifth El Clasico meeting this season, and definitely the last of the season.

One Real Madrid player is reported to be desperate about this tie – and that is Toni Kroos.

According to Marca, Kroos is obsessed about beating Barcelona in the Copa del Rey semi-finals because he wants to win the cup.

The Copa del Rey is the only trophy that Kroos is yet to win since he joined Real Madrid from Bayern Munich.

The midfielder has won the La Liga 3 times, the Supercopa de Espana 3 times, the Champions League 4 times, the UEFA Super Cup 3 times, the Club World Cup 5 times, but has never won the Copa del Rey.

The last time Madrid won Copa del Rey was back in 2013/14 — also under Carlo Ancelotti — the season before Kroos joined the club in a move worth €25m.
