Real Madrid showed class and substance to beat Barcelona 4-0 at the Camp Nou, and in turn reach the final of the Copa del Rey.
It was a difficult first-half, but things changed just before the break, as a quick counterattacking move was finished off by Vinicius Jr, with a fine assist from Luka Modric.
Karim Benzema would then score a hat-trick in the second-half to put Madrid through.
Speaking after the 4-0 win over Barcelona, Federico Valverde hailed the trio of Vinicius, Benzema and Luka Modric for changing the game for Real Madrid.
He said: “Vinicius and Benzema have been amazing.
“Modrić too. They changed the game. The first goal was the most important. Before the break, finding a goal in the way we were hoping for, being patient at the back…
“That’s what happened. Congratulations to the forwards for their effort.”
