Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez is yet to sign a new contract with the club.

Nacho is in the final year of his contract with the Los Blancos, but may leave as a free agent when the season ends.

According to reports, Nacho has decided he will leave this summer if coach Carlo Ancelotti stays.

Bayern Munich are believed to be in contact with Nacho’s camp.

For Nacho, he wants to remain at his boyhood club, but believes he’s been unfairly treated by Ancelotti this season.

Nacho is convinced he is as good as any of the club’s centre-backs, but doesn’t get to play in his favoured position, and is sometimes out of the team when everyone is fit.

Speaking about his contract situation last month, Nacho said: “It’s a complicated situation for me because I don’t know what it’s like to play for another club, to have an experience other than Real Madrid.

“I am the first to know that if I stay at Real Madrid I have absolutely everything. I am completely sure that I will not be in any other better place than here, but it is not about Real Madrid giving me more years or money.”
