For the third year in a row, Real Madrid and Chelsea will face each other in the Champions League knockout stage.

Ahead of Wednesday night’s clash at the Santiago Bernabéu, Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta has insisted Chelsea can beat Real Madrid if the Blues play their best football against the European champions.

Azpilicueta said: “It is a unique opportunity and only eight teams are here. It is special and difficult.

“This is a tie that will demand the most of us, from each one and as a team, because we play against the current champions.

“It is the third year in a row that we play against them. They have a lot of experience.”
