Barcelona are set to win the La Liga for the first time since 2019, as they have created a healthy lead over fierce rivals, Real Madrid.

While Barcelona are set to win the La Liga, Real Madrid are aiming to win the Copa del Rey and Champions League.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has cheekily mocked Barcelona for only having the La Liga to play for, for the rest of the 2022/23 season.

According to Courtois, Barcelona don’t have any other competition to play for, other than Saturday to Saturday La Liga football.

Thibaut Courtois spoke to the press following Madrid’s 2-0 win over Cadiz.

He said: “There is a long distance in points with Barcelona, but we still have the Copa del Rey and we play during the week in the UCL. Others only play from Saturday to Saturday [laughs].”
