Real Madrid defeated Cadiz 2-0 away from home on Saturday night.

Goals from Nacho Fernandez and Marco Asensio sealed a win for the Los Blancos in this La Liga clash.

Marco Asensio who has served mostly as an impact player this season, had a good game against Cadiz, and earned the praise of the manager.

Carlo Ancelotti said after the game: “Asensio is showing the same level as last season. He may have played less but he always delivers.

“He is an important player because he makes the difference during games with his goals and assists.”

Asensio has recorded 10 goals and 6 assists in 39 matches this term, and has started just 13 games.

The 26-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the summer, and nothing has been sorted out so far.
