Rodrygo was the hero for Real Madrid, as a second-half brace from the Brazilian sealed a win for the Los Blancos at Stamford Bridge.
It was a difficult first-half, and Chelsea were clearly the better side. However, they couldn’t score a goal, with Thibaut Courtois making some top saves to deny the home team.
At the end, Rodrygo will score from two counterattacking moves to seal a fine win for Madrid.
Speaking after the game, Rodrygo hailed goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois for helping the team out.
He said: “It’s such a pleasure to be at this great club – the best in the world.
“[Thibaut] Courtois saved us when we weren’t initially finishing our chances and now we’ll wait to see whether it’s City or Bayern we face next.”
