Real Madrid’s hopes of winning the La Liga may be all over, but there’s still something for Karim Benzema to fight for.

Benzema is keen on playing every remaining game in the La Liga this season.

The reason is that – the veteran Frenchman wants to win the Pichichi award.

Benzema has already bagged 14 league goals this season and is just three behind the leading scorer Robert Lewandowski.

Benzema won the award last year, recording 27 goals, and he’s ready to win it again this season. Hence the reason for his involvement in majority of games.

With Benzema battling fitness issues, and games left in the Copa del Rey and Champions League, it’s yet to be seen if Carlo Ancelotti would grant him his desire.
