Girona striker Taty Castellanos scored all four goals for Girona as they defeated Real Madrid 4-2 on Tuesday.
Castellanos’ four goals have seen him become the first player to do so in La Liga history, since December 1947 when Esteban Echevarria scored five goals in Real Oviedo’s 7-1 win over Real Madrid.
The 24-year-old admitted after the game that it was a dream he never imagined.
“It has been a dream night, I never imagined this,” he said.
“Thank you to my family and my people in Mendoza.
“We played a great game against a great rival. It was a dream to score against Madrid, but to score four… I couldn’t have imagined it.
“I’m very happy for everything – for me and for the team – we are talking about the best in the world but we competed very well.”
