Brazilian Confederation have made it clear that they want Carlo Ancelotti to be their next head coach.

Brazilian players have also admitted their admiration for the Italian, and the entire country want the Real Madrid manager to take the job.

However, Ancelotti has a contract with Real Madrid until 2024, and has vowed to honour that contract.

Brazil Confederation president Ednaldo Rodrigues has set a deadline for Carlo Ancelotti to take the Brazilian national team job.

Rodrigues has now stated he wants Brazil’s new coach to be appointed by May 25, and while Ancelotti is their Plan A, they may have to move to Plan B if it doesn’t work out.

Rodrigues said: “Before going to plan B, I want to exhaust all the possibilities of plan A.

“We have a commitment to society and we must listen to their cries, which also guide us.”
