3 Real Madrid players to miss Almeria clash

Real Madrid play host to Almeria on Saturday evening in a La Liga clash.

Luka Modric has suffered a fresh injury blow ahead of the game, and the Croatian midfielder has been ruled out of the squad for Saturday’s La Liga clash with Almeria due to a hamstring injury.

The 37-year-old was subbed off in the 63rd minute of Tuesday’s 4-2 defeat at Girona, and he was later seen with an ice pack on his left thigh.

Modric is expected to miss the tie, as well as Ferland Mendy who is still out with a calf issue, and David Alaba due to a hamstring problem.

On the bright side, Thibaut Courtois will return to the sticks after missing the defeat to Girona through illness.

Dani Ceballos who had missed the last game through suspension will be available, and also Karim Benzema and Eden Hazard who are back in the squad following their absences against Girona due to minor injury problems.
