Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has said it would be unwise to rubbish Man City’s treble hopes.
Ferdinand has backed Manchester City to win the Champions League, Premier League, and FA Cup final.
This would mean he’s backing Manchester City to beat Real Madrid when both sides meet in the semi-final of the Champions League next month.
Speaking on BT Sport, Ferdinand said: “I think you would be stupid if you were to right them off and say no.
“The fixtures they have got coming up, they could win every game, and proved that with the amount of points they have amassed over the last couple of seasons.
“The big one is Real Madrid, no matter the form Madrid go into that game with, we have seen the history they have in Champions League.
“They can pull a performance out of nowhere. They have world class players all over the pitch and the experience to match this Manchester City team.
“That is the big one, then the derby, FA Cup final you never know what will happen there, they will be favourites. Can they do it? Yes they can.”
