Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has been continually linked with a move to become Brazil’s head coach.
The Selecao are very keen on appointing Ancelotti to fill their vacant managerial position. However, Ancelotti has again declared his commitment to his contract, which is due by 2024.
Asked about the rumours, Ancelotti has said again: “My future is already written until 2024. After that I don’t know.”
Meanwhile, Brazil Confederation president Ednaldo Rodrigues has set a deadline for Carlo Ancelotti to take the Brazilian national team job.
Rodrigues has now stated he wants Brazil’s new coach to be appointed by May 25, and while Ancelotti is their Plan A, they may have to move to Plan B if it doesn’t work out.
Rodrigues said: “Before going to plan B, I want to exhaust all the possibilities of plan A.
“We have a commitment to society and we must listen to their cries, which also guide us.”
