Lamine Yamal is the rave of the moment from the Barcelona camp, and the 15-year-old attacking talent is believed to be the next big superstar from the La Masia.
Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez has even likened the starlet to the great Lionel Messi.
However, there’s some uncertainty about Lamine Yamal’s future at Barcelona, claims Barca insider Joan Fontes.
The 15-year-old is yet to sign a professional contract with Barcelona, despite being called up to the first-team squad.
According to reports, Yamal’s parents are Real Madrid supporters, and would want him to play for Real Madrid rather than Barcelona.
Reports also have it that Xavi is ready to fast track Yamal’s development at Barcelona, hence his introduction to the first team at the age of 15.
Lamal turns 16 in July, which will allow him to sign his first professional contract.
Barcelona are trying to tie him up to a new deal and wade off Real Madrid’s interest. It’s yet to be seen if the deal will become official, which would give Real Madrid an opportunity to snap up the youngster from Barcelona.
