Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos got a start in the weekend’s 4-2 win over Almeria.
The win was necessary after a 4-2 defeat at Girona in the previous game.
Speaking after the win, Ceballos had said: “Offensively we were very good. It was difficult to play with a few touches, but we imposed our pace on the game.
“I feel very good and I’m looking forward to bringing energy to the team. The level of confidence both from my team-mates and the coach is very high and I think that’ll help me to give my best.”
Ceballos was also pleased to take Luka Modric’s space, as the Croatian would miss some games due to injury.
He said: “It’s a pity about Modrić’s injury but there is one more place in midfield and hopefully I can play in the next few games, which would be great for me.”
Ceballos had a good understanding with Vinicius Jr, and he spoke on his partnership with the Brazilian.
He said: “I understand him very well. We are very close and just by looking at each other I know when he’s going to go into space or when he wants it to feet. That’s fundamental.”
