Vinicius Junior had a good game against Almeria, as the Los Blancos won the tie 4-2 on Saturday.
Speaking to the media after the game, Carlo Ancelotti revealed that Vinicius picked up a knock to his knee. He however noted that it’s not a serious injury.
“He will be ready for the Copa del Rey final”, the Italian boss said.
However, Vinicius would miss the away clash against Real Sociedad on Tuesday due to a yellow card suspension.
Vinicius received a yellow card in the 37th minute, following his response to a clumsy foul on him by Almeria defender Houboulang Mendes, and Carlo Ancelotti was unhappy with the referee’s decision.
“It’s quite surprising that he’s had 10 yellow cards this season,” Ancelotti said in his post-match press conference.
“The dirtiest midfielder in the league doesn’t have 10 cards! [Vinicius] has to improve, but he’s been given too many cards, and not enough were given for the kicks he’s received.”
