Real Madrid are still keen on keeping hold of star striker Karim Benzema.

At age 35, Benzema is still easily one of the best strikers in the world, and still plays a huge for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, has now revealed that the club isn’t yet thinking of signing a replacement for the Frenchman.

When asked about the chance of bringing in a new striker, Ancelotti replied: “Signing a No. 9 is in the club’s future plans because Karim’s age is what it is.

“While Karim is in this condition we don’t think about it, also because the front line is working very well, it worked well last year and it’s working well this year.

“Karim has had some ups and downs, Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr. have developed, [Marco] Asensio is doing well. The problem over these two years hasn’t been the frontline.”

Karim Benzema has scored 29 goals across all competitions this season, with 17 goals in 21 La Liga games.

Brazilian wonderkid, Endrick, who became Palmeiras’ youngest player in history last year, could be Benzema’s eventual heir when he moves to the Bernabeu on his 18th birthday in 2024. The youngster is highly-rated and is believed to be full of goals.

But for now, Real Madrid will stick with Benzema for at least another year.
