Jesus Vallejo currently wears the No. 5 at Real Madrid, but the 26-year-old defender may have to vacate that jersey for next season.
According to Mundiario’s Gabriel Inojosa, Jude Bellingham will wear the No. 5 jersey next season for Real Madrid.
Bellingham is expected to sign up for the club this summer, and journalist Aleix Genero has said the No. 5 shirt which was worn by the legendary Zinedine Zidane would be the Englishman’s preferred number since Zidane is his idol, and he donned the shirt as a Real Madrid player.
Zidane is believed to have played a role in the transfer, as he reportedly invited the 19-year-old to watch Real Madrid live at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Bellingham holds Zidane in high esteem, and has said plenty of positive words about Zizou lately.
Bellingham is expected to sign a five-year contract until 2029, and his move would cost the Los Blancos around €120m.
