Manchester City have a major injury scare to deal with, ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash.
Key Man City defender Nathan Ake may have suffered an injury blow ahead of their Champions League semi-final clash against Real Madrid next week.
The versatile Dutch defender was forced off in their Saturday afternoon’s Premier League tie with Leeds United.
Ake started the game but was subbed off early in the second half, with a suspected muscle problem.
The Dutch international was swiftly replaced by Kyle Walker. Ake lasted just 54 minutes before being withdrawn.
While on the bench, he was spotted with ice on his leg, indicating he had indeed picked up a muscle problem.
Ake has been a key figure for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side this season, and has featured in 38 matches in all competitions.
