Real Madrid are outright favourites to beat Osasuna in the Copa del Rey final.
However, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, has warned that finals are never easy, and he’s expecting a tough game against Osasuna.
Ancelotti warned: “A final is always exciting. I always think before a final that, personally, it could be my last. It’s what I thought in the first one in 2003 but it wasn’t, so I’m thinking the same today. I’ve told the players to enjoy this moment because these are special matches and we’re preparing for them with all the enthusiasm and excitement in the world.
“We’ve got here on the back of great performances, winning very complicated matches starting with Cacereño, Villarreal, Atleti and winning 4-0 at the Camp Nou… We’ve got this far on our own merit and we’re going to enjoy the run-up and do our best to win.
“(Against Osasuna) we’re going to take to the field out without thinking about the day after. We’re going to go out there and give our absolute all to win another title, another competition. The players think the same and are very motivated. These are very demanding matches, but with this squad it’s very easy.
“It’s going to be a competitive game, against a strong opponent who are very well organised. It’s a very important game for them and it’s going to be difficult. We have to be ready and handle the difficult moments of the game correctly.”
