Vinicius vs Haaland: See what has been said of the two young attackers

Ahead of the Champions League semi-final meeting between Real Madrid and Manchester City, there have been a lot of pre-match hypes.

There have been a lot of talking points on Vinicius and Erling Haaland. The two young players are in top form for their clubs, and will play a huge role in who wins the tie.

Interestingly, the two managers have pointed to the two players as the real threat.

According to Guardiola, Vinicius is a massive threat anytime he gets hold of the ball.

“Vinicius sinks you every time Real Madrid can get the ball to him,” Pep Guardiola has said ahead of facing Real Madrid.

“He will be decisive, but Madrid have more players to rely on.”

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has also admitted that Erling Haaland will be a big threat.

He said: “Haaland is a very dangerous player. Not just his goals but he’s a constant threat. It’s a very complete team, they can defend and attack.

“They have a very clear idea how they want to play football. It’s not just about stopping Haaland, it’s about stopping a team who at times have been unstoppable but we will have our chances. It’s going to be a competitive contest.

“They were a very dangerous team last season but Haaland brings something different. They can play more direct if needed. De Bruyne plays in behind Haaland and can bring the ball down.

“The tie will be decided in that return leg. We want to take a good result to Manchester.”
