Real Madrid and Manchester City played out a 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabéu on Tuesday.
Both teams will file out next week Wednesday at the Etihad Stadium, and Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde has said no one in the Madrid team is panicking after their draw with Manchester City.
Valverde believes the Champions League remains an important competition for the Los Blancos, and has backed Real to go on and beat Man City on their home turf.
Valverde told AS: “Playing in the Champions League is special because it is Real Madrid’s competition. It is always different from any other game. Another vibe moves, another energy, everything seems as if it were a unique dream.
“It is the competition that every footballer who is in a European club dreams of winning. And surely for the fans there is nothing more beautiful than seeing your team win this competition because it is the most important at club level. That’s why I think it all comes together on the same Champions League night.
“At Madrid they have always taught us that it is UNTIL THE END, so there are 90 minutes left.”
