Polish referee Szymon Marciniak will be in charge of Real Madrid’s upcoming Champions League clash against Man City in the Champions League semi-finals.

Real Madrid don’t seem to have a good record when Marciniak officiates.

In the seven games the Poland referee has officiated, Real Madrid have only won twice and drawn three times, with two defeats.

The last game that Marciniak was in charge of for Real Madrid, was the 2-3 Champions League defeat to Chelsea at the Santiago Bernabéu two years ago. Real Madrid ended up winning the tie on aggregate.

Real Madrid also lost to Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup final in the 2018/19 season, with Marciniak in charge.

Hopefully, the Los Blancos will get a positive result in this crucial Champions League second leg clash against Manchester City.
