Manchester City were expected to put up a strong performance against Real Madrid last week, but the Citizens didn’t do really well as people expected.
Man City striker Erling Haaland was well marshalled by Antonio Rudiger, and City boss Pep Guardiola has admitted he’d change his tactics for the second leg.
“We need a bit better gameplan, adjust a little bit,” said Guardiola.
“Create more chances for our strikers – get more balls in for easy positions. Know their transitions, their quality. We play against Real Madrid in the semi of the Champions League, the toughest opponents. It’s a challenge. We go for it.
“We have to perform well, not just the desire. Relax, only have to do what we have done many years. This is what we have to do, not just the desire to reach the final. We have to be better than the Bernabeu to get the final.”
