Real Madrid have crashed out of the Champions League, after suffering a 4-0 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

It was a lacklustre performance from Carlo Ancelotti’s men, as they crashed out of the semi-final, losing 5-1 on aggregate.

Speaking after the game, Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti admitted that he was hurt by the defeat.

“Evaluating what has happened does not make sense to me,” Carlo Ancelotti said after the game.

“This is a defeat that hurts a lot, but it can happen in football. They have played better and it only remains to learn and try again. It is the law of sport, you can lose.”
