Real Madrid were on the receiving end of a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City on Wednesday night in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final.
Real Madrid had a bad game and failed to register any shot on target in the first half. In fact, they only got three shots on target all game.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez was at the Etihad Stadium to watch the game.
According to Antón Meana of Diario AS, Florentino Perez didn’t seem too affected by the defeat, and was a perfect picture of true sportsmanship after the game before leaving the stadium.
The report also claimed that Perez encouraged and consoled the Real Madrid players and also congratulated Man City coach Pep Guardiola after the game.
Another report from El Chiringuito’s Josep Pedrerol claimed Real Madrid president Florentino Perez was very angry with the way his players performed against City.
It claimed that the club president was so angry that he did not even speak to the players after the game.
It is also believed that Carlo Ancelotti may be allowed to see the end of his contract with the club.
